This is a picture I took while on a trip to Australia this past summer. It is a of Uluru, a rock formation in central Australia. This photo has a lot of special memories attached to it because I was traveling with my mom and my sister, who both mean a lot to me. I snapped this picture because I loved the contrast of colors between the reddish rock and the blue sky. I also like the different shadows that the clouds cast on the rock. I tried to get as much of my surroundings into the picture as possible because I think that all the various colors and shapes are what really make the image. Additionally, I think that the grooves in the rock help give the picture some varying dimension and makes it come alive more.
